Swiss luxury horologer Richard Mille named Australian actress Margot Robbie brand ambassador. The watchmaker and Robbie are to collaborate on a range of timepieces that are to convey the actress’s modern femininity and creative sensitivity.
“I am really excited to join the Richard Mille family,” Robbie said in a press statement on the occasion. “I have always admired the brand’s artistry and innovation. The watch we are working on embodies Richard Mille’s vision of horology; it’s beautiful, unique and modern. I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
The proceeds from the intended collection are to go to the Youngcare foundation, which empowers and equips young Aussies with high-care needs to lead a life of independence and dignity.

2011 is also the year that marked Robbie’s move to the Unites States after a two-year run on Australia’s popular TV show Neighbors. Robbie’s first American production was the acclaimed series Pan Am, which later gave way to memorable roles on the silver screen.
Robbie has starred in Focus, opposite Will Smith, Z For Zachariah, The Legend of Tarzan as well as Suicide Squad. This year, Robbie is to assume the lead in Simon Curtis’ Goodbye Christopher Robin, which is slated to debut on Oct. 13. In addition to starring in several other movies that are in the works, Robbie is developing three films – Bad Monkeys, Beautiful Things and Marian – with her production company LuckyChap Entertainment.
