A few months ago, Haute Time Russia brought got a sneak peek at Vacheron Constantin’s newest boutique in Moscow. Well the wait is finally over, and this week the manufacture officially opened its new Moscow boutique.

The space’s chief architect Filippo Gabbiabi was on hand in the Russian capital to help Vacheron Constantin International Director Yann Bouillonnec, Moscow Boutique Director Pavel Kudryashov, Russia Brand Director Nicolas Deflers and VIP Account Director Dominique Bernaz (pictured above, from left to right) cut the ribbon at the grand opening.

Guests at the ceremony had the chance to see the new exhibition Vacheron Constantin’s Treasures, which is comprised of twenty-three exceptional creations delivered specially for the event from Geneva. The exhibition will be on view at Vacheron Constantin’s Moscow boutique until July 13, and we strongly recommend it to all the watchmaking aficionados who can make it! (For those who can’t personally visit, don’t fret – Haute Time Russia will be bringing you an exclusive look at the exhibition in the weeks to come.)

Attendees also had the chance to admire Vacheron Constantin’s four new Russia-exclusive timepieces, which were created specifically for the opening of the Moscow boutique. In addition to three austere timepieces on the black-and-white gradient, the veil of secrecy was also lifted on the new one-of-a-kind Patrimony Traditionnelle Calibre 2253 model.

Calibre-2253-duoface

This unique piece boasts one of Vacheron Constantin’s most complex mechanisms, the manual-winding Caliber 2253. It features 457 parts and boasts an impressive 336-hour or 14-day power reserve. It also boasts a minute tourbillon, a perpetual calendar, an equation of time complication (which indicates the difference between the variable solar time and the average local time, which varies throughout the year because of the elliptical orbits of the Earth and the Sun) and sunrise and sunset indicators. Due to the fact that the time of sunrise and sunset depends on the location, the timepiece for the Moscow boutique shows its indication in relation to the Russian capital.

Like other watches from the Moscow collection, the Patrimony Traditionnelle Calibre 2253 model features white metal (in this instance, a 44mm platinum case) and a black opaline dial. The Traditionnelle Calibre 2253 model comes with a pair of 18K white gold and onyx cufflinks.
