Salon QP has become one of the most important fairs in the luxury watch market and in four short years has become one of the top events in the haute horlogerie industry.  The most famous of luxury watchmakers also rub shoulders with lesser-known, yet equally fabulous houses of timepiece craftsmanship.

An elite selection of watchmakers were chosen to provide one-off collection timepieces to celebrate the one –year anniversary of Harrods Fine Watch Department, considered to be one of the most important in all of Europe.   The watches which were on display during the Salon QP event will be available for purchase at Harrods until the end of this week.

One of the showcase pieces is what some are calling a masterpiece: like the iconic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak model for men, the Audemars Piguet Lady Tuxedo Automatic is a technological marvel, but glittering diamonds make this an elegant, feminine piece.

Also of interest for timepiece aficionados is a Vacheron Constantin Métiers d’Art watch.  The piece, which has been described as a watch that can be suited for anyone who loves beautiful things, features a guilloche dial with an enamel overlay.

Hublot, Zenith, Maurice LaCroix, Breguet and Franck Müller are other watchmakers who contributed highly unique chronographs for the elite event.

At this year’s event, Harrods set up their watch service and after-sales bar for the convenience of event attendees; many enjoyed the feature so much that they are hoping it will be a regular installment at future Salon QPs.
