Ulysse Nardin are embracing their history as creators of diving and sailing timepieces with the addition of a new model in the Black Sea line of watches. The new 2013 Black Sea is athletic-looking watch made from stainless steel case coated with vulcanized rubber. The vulcanization process is noteworthy imparting an ability to withstand the most extreme conditions.

Highlights of this new model include a unidirectional turning bezel, a rubberized screw crown for added water resistance (to depths of 200 meters), and a rubber strap with two ceramic elements and folding clasp for enhanced sturdiness. The 45.8 mm case houses a self-winding Calibre UN-26, 11 1⁄2’’ movement with a 42-hour power reserve (indicated at 12 o’clock). The black dial features a blue wave, with the oversized small seconds and large date displayed at 6 o’clock.
