Top 5 Green Watches: Dials That Spark Envy

Jacob & Co. Caviar Emerald Tourbillon
1 Jacob & Co. Caviar Emerald Tourbillon

There’s no way you can bite into the Caviar, but its looks delicious nonetheless. Once again, Jacob & Co. combines the best of the world of jewelry and horology. But this time, the "King Of Diamonds" chooses to go with another gemstone. The dial, bezel, and lugs feature 424 baguette emeralds invisibly set to form one solid block. Measuring 47mm, this watch made for men and women houses caliber JCBM05, a manually winding movement made exclusively for Jacob & Co. Unique piece.

Urwerk UR-106 Lotus
3 Urwerk UR-106 Lotus

Last month, Urwerk launched the UR-106 Lotus, its first ladies complication watch. The brand's signature satellite hours are back, but in a shape that has never been seen before. Three satellite hours wander across the dial to create the most graphic of horological blooms. The hours satellites and carrousel are made in titanium, peened and brushed by hand. The minutes scale is serrated and the moon is made of lapis lazuli. The hour and minutes markers in SuperLuminova are hand-painted. Please click here for more...

de Grisogono Instrumento Carbon Chrono
4 de Grisogono Instrumento Carbon Chrono

In terms of green watches, it was hard to pick between the New Retro and the Instrumento Carbon Chrono. One nails the 1970s look. The other looks like its back from the future. They share very little, apart from their choice of color scheme. Green lights up the dark side of the Instrumento Carbon Chrono, made fully out of carbon sheets pressed on top of each other, and later cut into the shape of the case and lugs. A novel technique, which eliminates the camouflage look of most carbon watches. Limited to 100 pieces, you may be lucky to find one still.

Graff MasterGraff Tourbillon
5 Graff MasterGraff Tourbillon

Technically, it’s not part of the 2015 collection, but that didn’t stop us from taking a closer look at this very rare green model. And we felt we couldn’t keep this one to ourselves. The MasterGraff Tourbillon 45mm features a striking dial with tourbillon and power reserve indicator surrounded by the brand’s signature emeralds. You won’t find this watch in the brand’s collection. It’s another one-off, commissioned piece.
