It was not only the Italians that shone brightly at Couture 2016. Jewelry designers from all over the world made their mark by showcasing cool designs that took Las Vegas by storm. We’ve seen animal motifs, ovals, lines, and other shapes in mesmerizing combinations. Color gemstones, pearls, jewels with a message and unique designs make these pieces highly covetable.
Inspired by a beautiful mythological goddesses immortalised in the stars, Valerie Messika designed the Diamants Celestes Haute Joaillerie collection. Presented to the American market at Couture 2016, the Cassiopée cuff, created from 64 oval-cut diamonds, pays tribute to the queen of constellations - the Greek goddess, Cassiopée - while depicting a shimmering Summer sky. Made entirely at Maison Messika’s High Jewelry Atelier in Paris, creating this cuff required 490 hours of work by master setters.

For the new limited edition collection, named Rainbow Warrior Prophecy, designer Lydia Courteille takes inspiration from the legends and myths of diverse Native American tribes. This unique cuff is made with 196.80 grams of 18-carat gold with black rhodium plating. The diamonds in the piece weigh 36.22 carats. Other materials used include fancy sapphires, green garnets, red jaspers, turquoise, druzy agate, and enamel, giving a message of love and harmony.

Using signature design elements, the Snake Collection by Sutra debuted at Baselworld 2016 before being presented to the American market at Couture 2016. A 2-carat Columbian Emerald forms the snake’s head in this ring, with 2 carats of diamonds set in 18-carat black gold. This iconic ring retails for USD 15,000.

At Couture 2016, Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry launched the Affinity collection, inspired by Ivanka’s iconic ‘Women Who Work’ initiative. It is the brand’s first full entry-level price point line, consisting of thirty-five pieces ranging from USD 550 to USD10,000. “I enjoy creating jewelry for self-purchasing women of all ages with both accessible and luxurious price points,” said Founder and CEO Ivanka Trump. “The Affinity collection balances the soft curves of the oval and the sharp edges of the diamond to create a harmonious design for the modern working woman.”
