Happy Thanksgiving America! For you, we take a look three Swiss-made watches that celebrate some of the USA’s greatest modern contributions: rock’n’roll and football. But which one is the most American watch?
The Harry Winston Opus 14 may be the most Rock and roll watch of the year, and the most American. Inspired by the 1950’s (according to the brand), it features a functioning jukebox mechanism which can select and ‘play’ one of three discs: a GMT, a Date complication, as well as a more decorative disc featuring Harry Winston’s signature. The color combination, star, and road sign all point to the USA.
America’s favorite Thanksgiving tradition, nursing a post-turkey food coma in front of some football might cheer up Dallas Cowboys fan, after a disappointing season. Who knows, they might catch a glimpse of the latest Hublot limited edition. America’s Team went Swiss again, unveiling the Big Bang Dallas Cowboys, which features the Cowboys iconic colors and star.
Panerai introduced a large collection of new watches this year, but the one that has Paneristis talking is the new limited edition Luminor 1950 3 Days Titanio DLC with California dial. So called because it combines Roman and Arabic numerals and indicators, the “California” is a design with a cult following ever since a Californian company began refurbishing early Rolexes and Panerais with this distinctive dial.
