F1 heiress Tamara Ecclestone’s husband has been robbed of his £50,000 (approximately US$77,000) Rolex timepiece at knifepoint. Bernie Ecclestone’s daughter and her new husband Jay Rutland had just returned to London after their honeymoon in the Bahamas when the incident occurred.
According to the Daily Mail, Rutland was accosted by two men wearing hoodies outside a gas station in East London. Rutland, 32, sustained several injuries, including cuts to his face and a black eye. The robbers managed to make off with Rutland’s £50,000 Rolex watch and a £20,000 (approximately US$31,000) gold bracelet.
The following day Tamara Ecclestone, 29, was seen accompanying Rutland during a visit to a police station in Ilford.
