At the Geneva Watch Days, Bulgari surprised us with a wide range of different watches that each impressed on their own. The key element is that they all continued a certain legacy within the brand, further strengthening its pillars of success. As we have grown accustomed of Bulgari, they do so with an undeniable sense of style, (Italian) flair and eye for detail.

While a tourbillon is, in general, a complication that will put most watch connoisseurs in awe, there is quite a difference among them. The most traditional ones feature a bridge on both sides, in between which they do their mesmerizing dance. A flying tourbillon lacks the front bridge, which allows you to see more of the intricate parts that make a tourbillon work. As the tourbillon is such a popular complication, many brands have made it a focal point for their technical creativity, which has resulted in watches that truly take your breath away.

Along with delicious treats, festive bubbly, and good company, a big highlight of any New Year’s Eve party is of course, the countdown! And depending on where you live, there are probably more than a handful of cities that will step into 2019 before you. This year, enjoy more than one countdown by ringing in the New Year across a slew of time zones with one of these world timer watches.

They both struggle for attention, with neither one achieving to become in this case the sole interest of their mother who is enjoying the shade of a large tree. What goes for these two lion cubs also applies for Namibia and the Richard Mille RM 58-01 Tourbillon World Timer Jean Todt: both are beautiful and impressive, both have the power to take your breath away, and combined they made for one of the most memorable trips I have ever had.

By the time you read this Baselworld is coming to an end. One of the main things to take from the fair is that the watch industry is recovering.
