Partnerships are part of Hublot's DNA, and many of them are continuing adventures in which they explore what hasn't done before in watchmaking. This is also the case with the partnership that they have with Maxime Plescia-Büchi, the Swiss tattoo artist and founder of Sang Bleu. When his signature designs are transformed in watches, they become tattoos that not only you can take off, but which also tell time.

It is still interesting to see that the development of certain mechanical complications doesn't stop. A great example of this is the chronograph, where brands continue to find new ways to take it to the next level. 2019 was a year in which chronographs broke records and celebrated anniversaries, as it has been 50 years since the very first automatic chronographs hit the market. So no wonder that 2019 was a great year for chronographs.

Hublot simply has a knack for partnerships. The brand is not afraid to share the spotlight with somebody else who contributes to a special watch. Interesting enough are these never people from the watch industry but outsiders, who made name and fame in a completely different field. Here also comes into play the other aspect what makes it that Hublot excels at watches created in a partnership; they go all in! Not just a different dial color, but a completely different watch, yet with a generous dose of the familiar Hublot DNA of course.

This year is no different, and Hublot continues to do what it does best: make watches that redefine the boundaries of watchmaking in terms of technology, design, and materials. It achieves this by launching a new manufacture caliber, expanding its sapphire collection, and take the Sang Bleu collection to an even higher level by using new materials.
