Taking place yesterday at the Els Club, Swiss Haute Horlogerie brand Audemars Piguet organized its first ever golf event in Dubai with seven brand Ambassadors and two additional professional golfers. Henrik Stenson took first place while Victor Dubuisson tied for second.

Stenson was able to defend his title by demonstrating great determination and precision until the very last holes of the tournament and closed with two birdies. Following the success of the previous New York editions of the Audemars Piguet Golf Invitational, the Manufacture from Le Brassus brought the unique experience to Dubai. Upon their arrival in the city of superlatives, guests from 16 different countries first visited the surrounding desert then had close glimpses at the iconic buildings, Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab.

The amateurs finally met with their professional counterparts at the Els Club for a fun demonstration and a shared round of golf. The Dream Team of Audemars Piguet Ambassadors included the European stars from Gleneagles Henrik Stenson, Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood and Victor Dubuisson, their vice-captain Miguel Ángel Jiménez, South African Major-winner Louis Oosthuizen and legendary British golfer Sir Nick Faldo, who currently wears an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronographe (see below). Two professionals, Bernd Wiesberger from Austria and Jonas Blixt from Sweden, completed the astonishing field for the day.

“Audemars Piguet and its ambassadors have won over the world with their ingenuity and pursuit of perfection, becoming leaders in their own fields,” said François-Henry Bennahmias, CEO of Audemars Piguet. “Rigorous discipline, the key to striking a perfect balance between precision, technique and artistry is one characteristic all seven ambassadors share. These passionate golfers fully master their sport and work tirelessly to push their boundaries further by constantly outperforming themselves. These are the players who share the Audemars Piguet spirit.”
