Racecar driver Scott Dixon will be racing in style at the Indianapolis 500 this weekend. Dixon, who hails form New Zealand, will be wearing a timepiece he created in collaboration with luxury watchmakers Louis Moinet.

“I am very excited and honoured to be a part of the Louis Moinet family. It’s a watch brand with such an amazing history,” Dixon told us. “The timepiece we have created is a beautiful combination of great design, innovation and precision and I am proud to wear it both in and out of my Indy car.”

The Scott Dixon by Louis Moinet is a sporty, two-pusher automatic chronograph. The racetrack-inspired features include high-visibility hands, a tachymeter scale on the steel/carbon fibre bezel, and chequered flag motif chronograph pushers inset with carbon fibre. The dial features the iconic red and white colors of Indy cars and the famous overalls Dixon has worn while representing Target ChipGanassi Racing over the past decade. The caseback features a winner’s wreath engraving, representing Scott’s 2008 triumph at Indianapolis. The Scott Dixon timepiece is completed by a natural rubber or elegant black leather strap with with bold red stitching.

Only 365 pieces of the limited-edition Scott Dixon timepiece in stainless steel will be produced, as part of Louis Moinet’s Legends collection.
