The Fine Watch Room in Harrods is Europe’s largest watch collection, and it is carefully curated by Harrods’ expert buying team. In total, 35 of the world’s best watch brands are presented across 18,000 square feet of retail space. Sales Manager Roanne Orlebar picks a few of her favorites for August:

The Montblanc Meisterstuck Heritage Perpetual Calendar, priced at £8,500

Roanne’s verdict: “The Montblanc Meisterstuck Heritage Perpetual Calendar was one of the highly talked about pieces from this year’s SIHH due to the fact Montblanc have produced a full perpetual calendar for £8,500, by far the most affordable on the market. Being part of the Meisterstruck Heritage range, which we have had an exclusive preview of this July at Harrods, it is an elegant and classic design. It is also a great size with a 39mm case and for a modular perpetual movement it is also very slim. Overall it offers amazing value for money and it would be my suggestion for customers looking for a classic complication under the £10,000.”

The Vacheron Constantin Malte Tourbillon, priced at £143,950

Roanne’s verdict: “The Vacheron Malte tourbillon is a stunning timepiece elegantly showing the small second tourbillon within its beautifully finished tonneau shaped case which dates back to 1912 when Vacheron Constantin introduced this shape to its range. It is a piece that needs to be tried on for it to be fully appreciated. We are also looking forward to receiving the open work version launched at SIHH later this year.”

The Breguet Classic Grande Complication Tourbillon 3358, priced at £81,100

Roanne’s verdict: “The Breguet classic grande complication tourbillon 3358 is an exquisitely crafted timepiece in white gold containing 74 diamonds, a mother of pearl dial and hand engraving. This piece has been a key highlight of our Breguet Tourbillon exhibition that we hosted this month in The Fine Watch Room. It is certainly a statement piece for a very special customer.
