Richard Mille Announces New Golf Partnerships

This week luxury watchmaker Richard Mille announced a move into the world of women’s golf. The Swiss manufacture has teamed up with the Italian champion Diana Luna, and has become the Major Partner in the Lacoste Ladies Open tournament.

Luna is Richard Mille’s first female sporting partner. Ranked number one in her country, Luna has been pro since 2002 on the Ladies European Tour. Luna has several victories under her belt; four Italian championships and one European championship as part of a junior team. She has also attained 31 top ten finishes in her young career. According to thew manufacture, Luna will wear an RM 007 Titanium on the greens, including at the Lacoste tournament.

This also marks the first time Richard Mille will be the Major Partner of this tournament, which is also known as the French Ladies Open. In addition to joining the French Open, which is held every year at the Golf of Chantaco in Saint Jean de Luz, France, Richard Mille will be lending his name to the pre-tournament Pro-Am on the 25th of September. The winner of the three day competition will receive a special one-off ladies’ RM 007 Titanium. The unique piece will featured a white crown and white rubber strap, with a ‘Lacoste Ladies Open 2013’ tournament engraving on the case middle.
