Sir Elton John sang the praises of Hublot Monday night at the luxury watchmaker’s lavish fête to celebrate their Costa Smeralda line, named after an affluent section of the Italian island of Sardinia’s northern coast.

Ladies will be dazzled by the 319 diamonds – 1.49 ct worth –  that glisten on the protective grill of the 41mm Big Bang Costa Smeralda for women. With sapphire crystal and a bezel of satin-finished 18K red gold, the Big Bang sports the HUB1141 self-winding 7’30 chronograph movement. The matte white dial is imprinted with the Costa Smeralda logo.

The 48mm King Power Costa Smeralda for men features an 18K King Gold case topped with a sapphire crystal and a bezel comprised of 18K vertical, satin-finished King Gold. A white and skeleton dial displays chronograph seconds and minutes, powered by the HUB4214 movement.

“Quality, beauty, prestige, relaxation, joy, happiness and freedom are a few words that describe the Coasta Smeralda,” said Hublot Chairman Jean-Claude Biver when describing  the sequestered Mediterranean coast. “They are qualities we try to perpetuate through our art.”
