Luxury watchmaker Parmigiani Fleurier has unveiled the new Pershing Samba Madeira. The newest addition to the Swiss manufacture’s Pershing collection, this piece is dedicated to Brazil.

The Pershing Samba Madeira celebrates the famous Samba rhythm of the Latin American country, featuring a close-up of a guitar and a sound hole tailored precisely to the dimensions of the cage of a tourbillon. The oscillation of this grand complication animates the piece and brings the guitar to life.

The titanium case features an 18K rose gold bezel and indices, housing a hand-crafted dial with marquetry. The wooden fresco is incredibly detailed, with guitar strings as fine as a single strand of hair. Behind the guitar are inscribed the words “Ordem e Progresso”, the national motto of Brazil. The Pershing Samba Madeira also features the green, yellow, and dark blue of the Brazilian flag.

At its heart is the calibre PF510, a 237 component-movement hand-finished with fine bevelling and Côtes de Genève decorations adorning the bridges. The Pershing Samba Madeira boasts a 192-hour power reserve.

This unique model is completed by an Hermes leather strap, and comes in a presentation case which has been hand-painted with the colors of the Brazilian flag.
