The name’s Bond, James Bond. It’s easy to imagine the new owner of the OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean worn by 007 himself in the newest film Skyfall introducing themselves with the signature line. The watch was auctioned on Friday October 5th at Christie’s in London, for $254,273 that will be donated to ORBIS, a charity special to both Daniel Craig and OMEGA. The piece is set in Titanium to withstand the action characteristic of 007 agent James Bond, with a black face, Arabic quarters, and a polished tonneau case. This is not the first Bond watch auctioned, but is nearly the highest selling. It comes second only to the Planet Ocean worn by Daniel Craig in Casino Royal, which sold for $255,565. This timepiece is now available for retail, and marks another successful chapter in the franchise for James Bond, and OMEGA.
