The latest from German safe manufacturer Döttling came by way of a luxury sitting room staple: the Barcelona chair.

Yes, Döttling credits Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, the inventor of the Barcelona chair, as its inspiration for the Liberty Barcelona.

The foundational similarities between the iconic chair and this innovative safe are apparent: both are made from polished stainless steel and leather. Döttling pushes the luxury limits further, with a calfskin covering for Liberty Barcelona’s body. Twelve precision watch winders and three drawers (one which boasts ten watch cushions) lie behind the incomparable safety of a high-tech electronic lock.

To further pay homage to van der Rohe’s inception of the chair in 1929, the Liberty Barcelona line is limited to only 29 safes.
