To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the S.A.R. Rescue-Timer, Mühle-Glashütte has released the 2×250 limited edition S.A.R. Anniversary-Timer. The timepiece marks a decade of support for crews in the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service’s vessels who serve waters from the North Sea to the Baltic. Captains of the German Search and Rescue fleet helped to develop the original watch’s design and measurement instruments to meet the needs and challenges of waterbased service. The watch is built to with stand shock and immense waterpressure to a depth of 1,000 meters, while protecting the wearer with rounded edges finishing the steel encasement, and a rubber bezel placed at 4’0’clock to prevent injury.

After ten years of rigorous tests through wear, little was found to improve. The Anniversary-Timer features a unique 10 year celebration design, and is available in plain stainless steel and stainless steel with a black, shockproof DLC coating. The reflective black ceramic bezel places the timer at easy access for rescue missions, outdoor activities, or timing your delivery lunch from order to your desk.  The black version has red indicies and hands, while the silver has white hands and hour markers, with large numerals for easy readability in limited lighting or stressful situations. A final red rim in the signal red of the German Maritime Search and Rescue service is a thank you to the crews, and a sign of a sporting watch that has withstood the test of time and harsh conditions to triumph as a nautical timekeeper in the best and worst of conditions.
