It’s been a busy week for Montblanc at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie 20th! After unveiling incredible timepieces like the Collection Villeret 1858 ExoTourbillon Rattrapante and the “Homage to Nicolas Rieussec” Chronograph at SIHH 2014, the manufacture announced that Hugh Jackman is Montblanc’s new global brand ambassador.
Jérôme Lambert, CEO of Montblanc International joined Jackman for the announcement during an event Montblanc held at the Hôtel d’Angleterre in Geneva. According to the manufacture, the actor will star in Montblanc’s advertising campaigns and act as an ambassador for the brand (though sadly for those of us stateside, he will not appear in American ads).
“I am delighted to be part of the Montblanc family,” Jackman said. “I have always admired what the brand stands for, its fascinating history, and the quality and originality of its products.”
Meanwhile, Lambert commented on the announcement, “We are delighted to announce this partnership, and welcome Hugh Jackman into the Montblanc family. He represents all the attributes of the Montblanc brand: elegant, talented, pioneering and committed to the arts. He inspires and enthrals audiences worldwide with the quality of his performances.”
Guests including French actor Pierre Niney, model Elettra Wiedermann, French actress Clotilde Courau and the Spanish actress Rossy de Palma also attended the event.
