Maximilian Büsser & Friends has debuted its fifth Performance Art piece, with a new guest star, Finnish watchmaker Stepan Sarpaneva.

Previously MB&F Performance Art pieces, special co-creations which reinterpret exisiting machines, have included the HM2.2 “Blackbox” designed with Alain Silberstein, the “JWLRYMACHINE” by Boucheron and  unique pieces we donated to the “Only Watch” charity auctions, created with artists Sage Vaughn and Huang Hankang.

For this newest creation, Sarpaneva was given the MB&F HM3 Frog timepiece to work with and with his signature design elements, including his iconic moon, transformed it into the MOONMACHINE.

The twin hand-finished moons indicate the moon-phase through a Korona-shaped aperture while the 22k gold and steel northern sky adds a stunning background The Performance Art Piece’s movement  is powered by three-dimensional horological engine, with a balance oscillating at 28,800 bph, 22k gold automatic winding rotor

The MOONMACHINE is three limited editions of 18 pieces each, in titanium, black titanium and red gold.
