Jaeger-LeCoultre Celebrates Special Grande Reverso In Singapore

Jaeger-LeCoultre’s flagship store in Singapore at ION Orchard, invited special guests to celebrate the launch of the brand’s Grande Reverso Night & Day Singapore Edition, last month. A limited edition of only 50 pieces, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Night & Day Singapore Special Edition will be quite a rare sight, but VIP clients and watch collectors were invited to preview this special timepiece before it disappears from the boutique.

The distinct timepiece was unveiled by Alexis de Laporte, Managing Director of SEA and Australia, who also played host to the event. The showcase display was specially created to swivel like the Reverso. When flipped over, the most visually compelling feature of the iconic Reverso case reveals the map of Singapore inside of which is the red and white colour Singapore flag, filled by lacquer. The watch case comes in steel and retails at SGD 13,900.

Seen below, the dates 1965-2015, represents the 50th anniversary of the country’s independence. The Grande Reverso Night & Day is powered by the in-house self-winding Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 967/B, which is hand-decorated and has a 42-hour power reserve.

In line with the theme of Singapore’s golden jubilee, flavored canapés and snacks such as Kachang Puteh, which are local favorites were served. Considered a national treasure in Singapore, Kit Chan is chosen as the ambassador.
