International Watch Co. Schaffhausen of Switzerland have released an exclusive special edition of watches called “Pilot’s Watches for Father and Son” which will be made available as a double edition featuring one “Father’s” watch and one “Son’s” watch or as a several-piece set for the Dad who has more than one son .

The larger sized timepiece in the set is for the father and is based on IWC’s Big Pilot’s timepiece.  Featuring a week-long power reserve and date display, the watch is also water resistant to 6 bar and has a 46 mm diameter.  The smaller watch, made for a son, is a bit smaller in diameter at 39 mm, but is also water resistant to 6 bar and features a power reserve of 42 hours rather than a full week.  Both timepieces are also made to withstand significant drops in air pressure.

The two timepieces both have similar designs; both have a stainless-steel case, both have Sapphire glass that is convex with an antireflective coating on the two sides, and both feature details like a black alligator leather strap.  The wearer’s name will also be engraved on the back of the watch as a loving dedication from father to son; the same engraving also has the practical value of avoiding mix-ups if a father has several sons.

The Father and Son Pilot’s Watches are equipped for adventure and are pieces that will become family heirlooms, handed down from one generation to the next.
