IWC’s SIHH Booth

I was very excited to get an inside look at the pieces launched at SIHH this year by IWC. Their booth is very cool, as this year of the Ingenieur watches. The latest collection is with the new partnership between the Schaffhausen watchmaker and the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team. So, when you walked into the booth, you felt like you were in the pit of the team at a big race.

Ingenieur Constant-Force Tourbillon
IWC Ingenieur Tourbillon XL

The new IWC Ingenieur Collection has a total of 7 watches in total. The first watch is the most impressive, Ingenieur Constant-Force Tourbillon with a price tag of $290,000. This is one of the coolest tourbillons we have ever seen, as it has a very rugged/sporty look inspired by its partnership with Mercedes AMG Petronas. It possesses intrinsic and classy features such as hand-movement that requires constant-force mechanism, moon phase display showing double moon phases, a split-seconds hand, perpetual calendar with digital date/month and it comes in platinum and ceramic case.

Ingenieur Chronograph Silberpfeil

The next piece we saw was the Ingenieur Chronograph Silberpfeil. This watch pays tribute to the incredible Silver Arrow from Mercedes-Benz that was a huge winner in racing for decades. The watch is built with a 45mm steel case powered by a fly back chronograph movement. The watch has a self-winding movement with a 68-hour power reserve.

Ingenieur Automatic Carbon Performance

The next watch was my favorite of the group. It is the Ingenieur Automatic Carbon Performance. It really showcases the partnership of IWC and the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team. The watch has a carbon case, and the dial too is also made up of carbon fibre. It goes perfectly with the authentic Formula One look and gives the watch a profiled, three-dimensional surface. Plus, for racing drivers, the IWC-manufactured 80110-calibre movement is unaffected by extreme acceleration as well as sharp braking maneuvers and vibrations, thanks to its integrated shock-absorption system.

Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month

The next watch that I really liked was the Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month. Again, same them showcasing there partnership with Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One™ Team. On there website, they call this watch Titanium meets Aluminum, as this is the first watch case made of titanium aluminide. Every time the date advances, the quick-action switch taps a little energy, stores it, and then discharges it precisely when needed. The front of the watch has three semi-transparent totalizers set the entire dial in motion.

The next watches I saw that are part of the Ingenieur watches:
