Launched in Hong Kong, during Watches & Wonders 2015, the Little Lange 1 stands out in its interplay of colour and materials, and comes in two versions. Perfect for the woman who distinguishes herself, the new member of the well-known Lange 1 watch family is not only elegant looking, it is desirable for its technical finesse as well. The Grand Lange 1 was a wonderful watch for women, but they now have a watch to call their own.
In the Little Lange 1, the outsize date, that has become the German watchmaker’s insignia, is set against shimmering pale blue-underlaid mother-of-pearl dial which is combined with either pink gold or white gold in 18-carat. Keeping in tradition with the Lange collection concept, the time on the Little Lange 1 is displayed off-centre, together with a secondary seconds dial with stop seconds.
The sapphire-crystal caseback shows-off the artisanally finished manually-wound in-house manufacture calibre L901.4 which features the customary Lange elements like the German-silver three-quarter plate embellished with Glashütte ribbing and screwed gold chatons which affirms higher scale accuracy. The Little Lange 1 has a power reserve of three days which is featured on the dial in the form of the brand’s iconic AUF/AB (UP/DOWN) indicator.
Pink-gold appliques on the dial complement the version with the pink gold case, while appliques in rhodiumed gold suit the white-gold model.
With a case size of 36.1-millimetre, the Little Lange 1 sits beautifully on the wrist, worn fashionably with a bracelet, in the picture above.
The white gold version of the Little Lange 1 is thoughtfully matched with a delicate “Pearl” calfskin strap in bright blue colour, whereas the pink gold model comes with the beige-coloured strap.
