Hot on the heels of their charitable partnership with Depeche Mode, Hublot has announced its renewed support for La Fondation Womanity.
On January 30, the luxury watchmaker – which has supported La Fondation Womanity since 2007 – revealed that it will continue to fund the charity’s special projects for young girls and women in countries like Afghanistan, Brazil, Israel, Morocco, and Palestine.
Jean-Claude Biver, Chairman of Hublot and Head of the Watches Division of the LVMH Group, made the announcement alongside Yann Borgstedt, the founder and President of Womanity, at the charity’s biennial gala in Geneva, Switzerland. Among the nearly 1000 invitees were guests like Mareva Galanter, Jean-Claude Jitrois, Pauline Lefevre, Michael Raivard, Mokobe Ayo, Licia Chery and Eleanor Cardozo.
During the gala, Hublot unveiled two new limited edition series in violet, the charity’s signature color. Number 001 of the Classic Fusion Womanity for Women and the Classic Fusion Chrono Aero for Men were auctioned off, raising CHF60,000 (approximately US$66,245) for La Fondation Womanity. In total CHF2,000,000 (approximately US$2,208,235) was raised for the charity.
