While Haute Time UK enjoyed a beautiful weekend with Richard Mille in Chantilly – more on that coming this week – we had the opportunity to visit the Richard Mille Boutique on Rodeo Drive, in Beverly Hills, CA recently. We selected a few of our favorite timepieces to share with you, including the newly launched “Black Phantom” and the diamond clad RM 07-01.

The first watch that drew our attention upon walking into the boutique is the RM 35-01 Rafael Nadal. This timepiece features an impressive, manual winding Caliber RMUL3 skeletonized movement with hours, minutes and seconds. The NTPT Carbon case measures 49.94 x 42.00 mm. The case is made from an exclusive material composed of many layers of filament created by separating carbon fibers. The result, a beautifully textured and original case material.

Next we took a look at the Richard Mille RM 50-01 Tourbillon Chronograph G-Sensor Lotus F1 Team Romain Grosjean, a Limited Edition of 30 pieces. Powered by a Caliber RM50-01, manually wound tourbillon movement, the RM 50-01 features G-Sensor which visually displays the number of G’s accumulated by the wearer, hours, minutes and a chronograph with central seconds and a 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock. The case is NTPT carbon and measures 50.00 x 42.70mm. The red strap adds a splash of color to the piece as well.

One of the newest pieces we looked at, which was recently unveiled by Richard Mille is the RM 011 Automatic Flyback Chronograph and is also known as the “Black Phantom”. Powered by a RM automatic winding skeletonized movement with a 50 hour power reserve, the “Black Phantom” features a flyback chronograph, annual calendar, 60-minute countdown timer, oversized date at 12 o’clock and a 12-hour totalizer. The ‘stealth-like’ case is scratch resistant black TZP ceramic with a smooth matte finish and the dial pops with white hands and markers. Limited to only 50 pieces in the Americas, this Richard Mille piece is one of our favorites from our trip to the Beverly Hills Boutique.

Lastly, here’s one for the ladies, the Richard Mille RM 07-01 is a stunner in red gold. The case measures 45.66 x 31.40 and houses a Caliber CRMA2 skeletonized automatic movement, complete with hours, minutes and adjustable rotor geometry. One can’t help but notice the diamond pave detail on the case and dial, all perfectly aligned with the the elegant lines and design. In fact, the entire case design and execution is part of the concept and is all constructed to exact specifications, down to the movement, dial and case, all coming together beautifully.
