Haute Time Visits Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons in Dubai

Haute Time Dubai’s correspondent Rebecca Anne Proctor recently visited Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons’ flagship boutique in Mall of the Emirates. Today we’re bringing you the exclusive photos from her visit to the boutique, and of course some close up looks at the incredible timepieces housed by the boutique. 

With a legacy that spans over 60 years, Ahmed Seddiqi & sons is one of the Middle East’s most iconic watch and jewelry retails. It has grown in tandem with the UAE and is at the forefront of luxury retail sector.  One of the brand’s defining traits is its ability to successfully fuse cultural sensitivities of operating in the Middle East with a progressive and international outlook.

The latest Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons boutique is set within a visually open space with no partitioning walls creating a spacious and welcoming interior. The counters are constructed with natural materials including wood, marble and granite, which are infused with earthy hues and soothing background music providing clients with the brand’s philosophy of familiarity and warmth.The experiential journey that the store gives off through its design reflects the luxury retail philosophy found through all Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons’ boutiques. Moreover, it is one that is on par with the top watch and jewelry brands that the store offers including Messika, Roger Dubuis, Dior, IWC, Hermes, Bovet, Richard Mille, A. Lange & Sonne and Chanel, among others.

Here’s an exclusive look at our favorites pieces from our visit:

Richard Mille Seddiqi

Richard Mille’s Automatic Flyback Chronograph RM 11-01 Robert Mancini pays tribute to the former footballer. The watch is equipped with the caliber RMAC1, offers an annual calendar, a flyback chronograph with central minutes counter and a dial divided into periods of play. While its operation appears extremely simple, it is nevertheless a unique in watchmaking. The dial displays match time on the basis of two 45-minute halves and up to 15 minutes of stoppage time. Robust and bold, the case of the RM 11-01 reproduces the celebrated design of the RM 011. It is tonneau shaped and made in three parts from grade 5 titanium and has Nitril O-ring seals that make it water-resistant to 50 meters

Roger Dubuis Seddiqi

This unique Roger Dubuis Double Tourbillon is authentic expression of contemporary Haute Horlogerie bearing the Roger Dubuis signature. The plates and bridges of the RD01SQ movement have been refined to the limit in a dazzling display of extreme technicality. The watch is set in rose gold and is 44 millimeters in diameter. The calibre, which is composed of 319 parts, ensures greater precision thanks to a differential system that averages the rates of the two tourbillons. It has a manual movement and a skeleton dial in charcoal flange set with rose gold screws. The timepiece boasts a black alligator strap with a rose gold deployant buckle. It is limited to 88 pieces and priced at 1,207,000 AED.

Bovet Seddiqi

This stunning Bovet Fleurier Amadeo 7-day Skeleton Tourbillon is found in rose gold. It has a diameter of 45 millimeters that is encircled with diamonds. One of the brand’s more decorative pieces, it is one of the first skeletonized Tourbillons among Bovet’s Fleurier collection. It retails for 889,200 AED and is limited to just 39 pieces.

De Bethune Seddiqi

De Bethune’s elegant DB28 ST is a timepiece boasting technical prowness coupled with avant-garde design by creators David Zanetta and Denis Flageollet. The watch has hour, minutes and seconds regulated by a 30-second fast-beating tourbillon that has a silicon escape wheel. Moreover, the unique layered dial structure is constructed around suspension bridges that multiple decorations and fine lines. This helps elevate the central mechanism and well as enhances its functionality. The watch has a self-regulating twin barrel that is design to eliminate friction and transmit as much energy as possible. The case is in grade 5 titanium with a platinum bezel.
