Haute Time had an opportunity to get a look at Zenith Watches with Zenith Global CEO Jean-Frédéric Dufour along with Roland Enderli, Brand Director of ZENITH North America. For the week of January 21st to 25th, Zenith Watches rented out the prestigious Geneva Suite, at the Kempinski Hotel.

Before we get into the watches – we personally have never seen a hotel suite like this, as it was two stories, with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, full dining room, fitness gym, pool, and 3 balconies. As we walked into the room, every country was present, from China, Russia, and Dubai.

We got the opportunity to look at some new models that will be launched at Basel World 2013. As we remember, last year at Basel World, the big highlight of the show was the launch of the Pilot collection. The watch was 57 1/2 mm, and was in very limited edition, producing only 500 unites. This year, they made the watch smaller, and produced several lines. These are the watches below, as we loved the Tourbillon, along with the Annual Calendar. These watches are more realistic to be worn, as they are 48mm, and wear very nicely on the wrist. We were able to look at three different models, ranging from a Tourbillon to a GMT.

Zenith Montre d´Aeronef Type 20 “Chronograph” Annual Calendar

The First Watch, was the Zenith Montre d´Aeronef Type 20 “Chronograph” Annual Calendar (48 mm).

Zenith Montre d´Aeronef Type 20 GMT

The Next Watch was the Zenith Montre d´Aeronef Type 20 GMT. (48mm).

Then we got to look at our favorite, the Zenith Montre d´Aeronef Type 20 “Chronograph” Tourbillon (48 mm).

As we thought we were finished, Roland then brings out something very cool, with a favorite line of Zenith, the El Primero. The watch is black, very light, and is very sporty. We love it, and think it will become a huge hit.

Then as we were leaving, we asked Roland if we can see another cool piece, the Zenith Academy Christophe Colomb Hurricane. This is not new, but is a special piece, and one of the best looking watches we feel on the market, if money is no object. We noticed a lot of excitement out of Zenith’s meeting today, as it seems like they have a lot of cool stuff coming on the market. Very sporty, and launching there popular Pilot line in a 48mm, we feel there is going to be a lot of buzz about these pieces at Basel. Plus, with a partnership with LVMH, we feel Zenith can be the next big brand on the watch scene.
