IWC Ambassador Lewis Hamilton grabbed his fifth win of the season at the British Grand Prix, extending his lead in the championship to 17 points.
The world champion took the checked flag in front of his home crowd, with team-mate Nico Roseberg and Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel completing the podium.
For a while, it looked as though Williams might be able to win its first Grand Prix of the 2015 season, as the team’s drivers made the best start to get to the front of the grid by turn one.
However, Hamilton fought back to take the lead just as the rain invited itself to create a dramatic ending to an action-packed race. Hamilton’s decision to pit for intermediate tires ahead of his teammate ultimately clinched him victory.
