The manufacture, which has been a partner of the Berlinale since 2011, gave guests a reprieve from the red carpet at the Glashütte Original Lounge on the 24th floor of the Kollhoff Tower.

The Glashütte Original Lounge in the “Panoramapunkt” at the top of the Kollhoff Tower boasted an impressive view of the festival, where stars like George Clooney, Matt Damon, Bradley Cooper, Bill Murray, Christian Bale, Tilda Swinton, Ed Norton and Saoirse Ronan hit the red carpet.

During the festival, Glashütte Original also awarded the “Made in Germany – Perspektive Fellowship” in support of talented young German directors. The Berlinale, which is in its 64th year, received a record number of visitors.

The watchmaker also teamed up with the Deutsche Kinemathek to present “Him & Her” at the Glashütte Original Lounge. The exhibition showcases unforgettable cinematic couples matched up with exclusive Glashütte Original timepieces for men and women.

Glashütte Original Managing Director Yann Gamard was on hand at the lounge to welcome Dieter Kosslick, Director of the Festival. Kosslick got a demonstration from a watchmaker on site and even tried his hand at the watchmaker’s art.
