Giuliano Mazzuoli is constantly being asked what his next timepiece will be. The Italian designer, who is known for his Manometro, Contagiri, and Trasmissione Meccanica collections, prides himself upon creating unique watches. Now Mazzuoli has transformed the classic Manometrino into a truly unique pocket watch

While the traditional pocket watch is on a chain, the new Manometrino design can’t be hung on a chain. Instead, the 27mm stainless steel case hangs from a rubber tube in a tribute to the pressure gauge air “tube” that inspired this piece. While a rubber “chain” may sound unorthodox, the rapid clutch of the joints of the air tube actually allow the attachment to hook and unhook quickly. The dial comes in ivory, black or slate, with hours, minutes, and seconds functions. At its heart an ETA quartz movement powers this timepiece.

Mazzuoli told us that “looking at the watch finalized and worn, I am thinking “very cool!”.”
