This week in New York City, Girard-Perregaux and Susan & David Rockefeller joined forces with Nile Rodgers for the “Changing Watch” event supporting We Are Family Foundation.

The evening began with cocktails at Cipriani 42nd St, where guests got the chance to take in several Girard-Perregaux novelties on display, including the new Constant Escapement. The cocktail hour was followed by a dinner in the Cipriani Ballroom, where Susan and David Rockefeller introduced their new Protect What is Precious project and young teen leaders were recognized for their environmental initiatives. The Rockefellers introduced their video Take Time, about the world’s natural beauty and the importance of protecting our fragile environment.

Michele Sofisti, CEO of Sowind (Girard-Perregaux and JEANRICHARD), also took to the stage, where he presented Susan and David and Nile Rodgers with a special Mission of Mermaids (MoM) timepiece in honor of their constant work and dedication to support We Are Family Foundation.

Dinner was followed by a lively auction benefitting the We Are Family Foundation, which was founded by songwriter Nile Rodgers (who created hits like Le Freak, We Are Family, Like a Virgin and Lose Yourself to Dance). Lots included a MoM men’s special edition watch, a private guitar lesson with Nile Rodgers, a one-of-a-kind Susan Rockefeller for Honora pearl necklace, and a dinner at Blue Hill with Susan, David, and Nile.

The evening was capped off by a DJ set by Q-Tip that had guests dancing the night away.

Guests included Amanda Hearst, Kelly Bensimon, Ryan Serhant, Almudena Fernandez and Jo Champa.
