This week luxury watchmaker Franck Muller is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Crazy Hours. This iconic complication was first revealed by the Swiss manufacture back in 2003.

According to the manufacture, Franck Muller conceived the Crazy Hours while on vacation at a resort in Mauritius. Breaking away from his regimented world, Muller decided to break the rules, developing this extraordinary model which displays numerals in complete disorder, while still keeping perfect time thanks to a jumping hour mechanism. The hour hand jumps to one numeral after the other in the correct order whereas the minutes hand moves in a conventional way.

In honor of this anniversary, the manufacture has unveiled a limited edition Crazy Hours 10th anniversary model feautring the number “10” entirely set with diamonds. Uniquely for this model, the numerals are polished which gives an elegant mirror effect. The Crazy Hours 10th anniversary model will be produced in rose gold and white gold, with just 74 pieces of each variant to be produced.
