First introduced to the world during the World Presentation of Haute Horlogerie & Jewellery in Monaco, which took place in the first days of October of this year,  Franck Muller’s new Vintage (Curvex)  7-Days Power Reserve Mechanical wristwatch perfectly illustrates the concept of timekeeping as an art.

The latest member of the famous Vintage family of Franck Muller timepieces is a beautiful combination of precision timekeeping and aesthetics.  The mechanical chronograph was fully designed and crafted in Geneva, and has an astounding power reserve of 7 days, which rather exceeds the industry standards which are already very high, to the delight of fine watch collectors.

The watch’s mechanical movement is hand-crafted, and the multiple bridges are crafted to absolute perfection with attention paid the most minute of details.  In elegant understatement, each of the brass arches is adorned with Côtes de Genève stripes; bearings are set with a single brilliant ruby.  The movement contains 27 of these rubies, adding another layer to this noble and spectacular chronograph.

Master watchmaker Pierre Michel Golay puts it simply: “The beauty of the Vintage Curvex 7-Days Power Reserve, the detailed craftsmanship and the movement’s design are extremely precise. The complexity of this execution is what makes it an undeniable Franck Muller classic”.

Other features of the watch include a window in the eleven o’clock position which displays how much power is left, and the seconds are displayed in the six o’clock position.  The back of  the case is brushed with crystal glass so that the beauty of the timepiece’s movement is visible.  This model will only be available in a short series, but is expected to become the key piece of the entire Vintage line.
