This year Blancpain’s Villeret collection will debut its first model featuring a  flinque lacquered dial, with layers of translucent blue lacquer on the dial to create to depth effect at Basel 2012.

The calibre 7663Q features 244 parts and 34 jewels with a three-day power reserve, all housed within a 40mm gold case. The new self-winding movement powers the hour and minute hands and serpentine data pointer. The sapphire crystal caseback reveals the collection’s famous guilloche oscillating weight.

Adding a touch of luxury, the timepiece is accompanied by an alligator leather strap with an alzavel lining.
