Jaeger-LeCoultre Pays Tribute To Its British Heritage With A Limited-Edition Grande Reverso
In London, Jaeger-LeCoultre unveiled a limited-edition Grande Reverso Ultra Thin 1931 sporting a British Racing Green dial made of lacquer to mark the opening of its flagship boutique on Bond Street. The Reverso, perhaps the most British model in the Jaeger-LeCoultre collection, was developed in 1931, at the request of British army officers who wanted to protect their watches while playing polo. The new Reverso is presented in the classic Grande Reverso Ultra Thin steel case, measuring 46.8 mm x 27.4 mm. Remarkable for its beautiful deep green lacquered dial, it features hours and minutes with silver- toned hour-markers. With only 26 pieces to be made, the special London flagship edition is the most limited in the tribute series, which includes the fiery “Rouge,” the delicious “Chocolat,” and the “Blue” models.
