The Richemont Group, owner of brands such as Cartier, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Van Cleef & Arples, and Vacheron Constantin declared their financial results for Q4 on the same day they opened Salon International De La Haute Horolgie (SIHH) show in Geneva. There was a sturdy growth in sales across the board, with America up 24% over last year with constant exchange rates, while Japanese sales increased by 10%. Audemars Piguet brand ambassador Novak Djokovic won the Australian Open against Rafael Nadal in the longest Grand Slam singles final ever. Lasting an epic five sets and six hours, the match which was held in front of 15,000 spectators, ended with Djokovic achieving his fifth Grand Slam tournament win and third in a row. With several extra-special events taking place in Miami last night, Breguet’s Bal Harbour store opening was among the most exclusive. The opening included a demonstration by Mr. Stephane Aubert, the brand’s master engraver.
