Close Up: Chanel J12 Moonphase

Today we’re taking a close up look at the new J12 Moonphase by Chanel. The latest addition to the iconic luxury house’s J12 collection, the Moonphase allows the wearer to track four main phases: full moon, first quarter moon, new moon and last quarter moon.

The four phases are indicated by a steel hand on a deep blue aventurine disk in a subdial at 6 o’clock. This 38mm timepiece also features a date function, with the date indicated on an outer ring via a crescent moon steel hand.

Chanel has released six versions of the new J12 Moophase, with variations like black or white ceramic, bezels set with diamonds and diamond-clad high jewelry versions.
