Christie’s is getting ready for the major Fall auction season by putting a call out to watch and jewelry collectors. The luxury auction house has invited consignments for its Autumn 2013 sales, which includes the upcoming Important Watches sessions in Geneva, Hong Kong and New York.

For Christie’s, the upcoming season comes on the heels of a record breaking year, which saw the global auction house growing to $6.27 billion worth of sales in 2012. The auction house also made history with the discovery of the Stephen S. Palmer Patek Philippe Grand Complication. The gold openface minute repeating perpetual calendar split-seconds chronograph clockwatch with grande and petite sonnerie and moon phases redefined scholarship on the history of Patek Philippe and grand complications.

Haute Time recently spoke to John Reardon, the new Head of Watches for New York, and Reginald Brack, the VP of the brand new Private Sales Watches department, about what we can expect from the upcoming auction season, when they hinted at some major upcoming lots. In the meantime, if you have a piece you wish to consign, contact Christie’s directly for an appointment.
