Some of Chopard’s most interesting and collectible watches are the special editions it creates to commemorate Italy’s scenic Mille Miglia race, which the brand has sponsored since 1988. In 2002, the brand also became sponsor of the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique.

The watches introduced for this year’s race are more classic than the ultra-sporty Mille Miglia. These beautiful, understated watches echo the aesthetic of the single-seaters that take part in the race – all made between 1947 and 1978, with matte titanium cases and anthracite dials. This understated backdrop is accented by bright orange or blue accents on the hour-markers, seconds hands and the stitching on the grey Barenia calfskin strap. The watch is also produced in rose gold in a limited-edition of 500 pieces.

Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, co-president of Chopard and longtime collector of vintage cars, commented, “I would like to thank the Monaco Automobile Club for the tremendous work they do on behalf of vintage car collection.”
