Last week, Swiss watchmaker Chopard’s Co-President Caroline Scheufele joined Prince William at the Kensington Palace for the second annual Centrepoint Awards.

Scheufele and the Duke of Cambridge presented the “Rising Star” prize to Carly Scott, who with the assistance of juvenile homeless charity, Centrepoint has braced mental instability on her route to independent adulthood.

The ceremony comprised just a speck in the shimmering Centrepoint at the Palace gala dinner and fundraising auction, the tickets for which totaled close to £5,000. On November 10, embracing the fight against youth homelessness, some 420 high-profile guests mingled with royal attendees Prince Beatrice and Lady Kitty Spencer as well as celebrities in the ranks of Liz Hurley and Nile Rogers, who received the “Youth Inspiration” honor. Singers Eli Goulding, Conor Maynard and Dirty Vegas staged memorable gigs, while Craig David closed the occasion with a set of hits, including Ain’t Giving Up and 7 Days.

Hosted by Jonathan Ross and sponsored by the Reuben Foundation, the event raised the whopping £1.5 million for Centrepoint, Prince William’s very first royal patronage, which his mother, the late Princess Diana also supported. The organization will utilize the proceeds to provide a sanctuary for Britain’s outcast youth and help them overcome their health setbacks and pursue their educational and professional aspirations.
