Jackie O, Princess Diana, Greta Garbo, Grace Kelly: Cartier’s tank watch has graced the wrists of some of the most well known beauties of our time. It remains one of the fabled jewelry house’s best selling watches. The original was launched in 1919, and most say it drew inspiration from the square cockpit view its namesake armored vehicle. Others believe it was a French thank you to American tanks that helped to ensure victory for the allied forces. Now Cartier has released the Tank Anglaise with slight rounding to the edges curving the face and updating the design. The yellow gold is available beginning at 15,000 Euros.
