Today’s Haute Time Watch of the Day is a very special new set of creations inspired by the Maison Hermes, the Arceau Cheval d’Orient.

Highlighting the Maison’s dedication to the art of French lacquer, Hermes creates these stunning timepieces featuring breathtaking, hand-painted motifs of horses covered with vibrantly colored Persian saddle rugs. Each dial is lacquered and hand-painted carefully, by the artisan. After 30 coats of of lacquer, pigments and varnish and days of drying and layers of clear varnish to finish the dial, a miniaturized masterpiece is done and the dial complete.

The artistic concept continues to the inside of the case with the Hermes Manufacture Movement H1837, which powers the timepieces, and is housed in a round, 41mm white gold case. Functions of the Arceau Cheval d’Orient hours and minutes and the timepiece is fitted with a matte black strap.

The Arceau Cheval d’Orient is part of a very limited and numbered edition of just 24 pieces created by Hermes.
