Luxury watchmaker Breitling has long had ties to the world of aviation. Indeed, the Swiss manufacture not only counts avid pilot John Travolta as its ambassador, the company made onboard chronographs for aircraft cockpits as far back as the 1930s.

Today the Swiss manufacture has taken that passion for flight to China with the help of the Breitling Jet Team. Seven L-39c Albatros jets soared in close formation over the Great Wall of China, as the grand finale of their 2013 Asian tour. Flying less than three meters apart and with speeds of up to 750km/h the pilots (shown here in the famous Avenger formation) navigated their way low-level over the challenging mountainous landscape of the Karamay region of North Western China.
