With just over a month to go, luxury watchmaker Blancpain has joined HYT in making a pre-Baselworld unveiling. The Swiss manufacture has unveiled the new Women’s Chronograph Large Date, a timepiece with a beautiful mother-of-pearl face and a self-winding heart with several complications.

The Chronograph Large Date begins with a 38.6mm-diameter case in 18 carat red gold set with 40 diamonds, and a diamond-set crown. From the centre of the mother-of-pearl dial two waves of diamonds ripple out, delineating the unique look of the off-centered hour and the double-disc large date display visible through twin apertures at 6 o’clock. The hour and minutes are done in Roman numerals, providing a point of contrast to the Arabic numerals on the chronograph counters. Finally, the petal-shaped oscillating weight of the 495-part Calibre 26F8G mechanical self-winding movement can be glimpsed through the sapphire caseback.

This timepiece will be available in a white gold version and a steel version, and is completed by a white ostrich leather strap.
