As part of their “Pride limited editions” collection, Audemars Piguet have unveiled a tribute to Thailand with the Royal Oak Offshore Pride of Siam. This timepiece pays homage to the country’s national symbol, the Royal White Elephant (which appears on Thailand’s national flag). Only 100 pieces of this limited edition will be produced.

This watch features a sporty octagonal case in stainless steel case with a white ceramic bezel and a silver dial with “Grande Tapisserie” pattern. The caseback bears an engraving of the white royal in the centre and the legend “Pride of Siam Limited Edition”. A hand-stitched white crocodile strap with gold thread completes the look.

Oliviero Bottinelli, the Managing Director of Audemars Piguet Asia, told us, “For more than a decade, Audemars Piguet has gained a lot of support from Thai customers. We are happy to create this exclusive timepiece engraving it with Thailand’s royal white elephant to honour this beautiful country. Audemars Piguet has been actively involved in supporting this sacred animal by participating in the annual King’s Cup Elephant Polo as the main sponsor, organised by Anantara Group. As part of our continuing efforts in Thailand, we donated the Pride of Siam No 9 to the St Regis Charity Culinary Gala Auction. We are delighted that the piece fetched 2 million baht for the beneficiaries of HM Queen Sirikit’s Support Foundation.”

Bottinelli launched the timepiece with the help of Lt.Col. Wanchana Sawatdee, a popular actor from the King Naresuan films, and Narun Thamavaranukup. Guests, watch collectors, and local celebrities such as Bill Heinecke, Sonia Couling and Ravit Tuetvongse enjoyed an evening of entertainment from the talented singer Keng – Thachaya Prathumwan, the 1st runner up of The Voice Thailand.
