The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), regarded as the most prestigious award ceremony in watchmaking industry, takes place tonight in Geneva. The price-giving ceremony starts at 6:30PM local time, and will be broadcast live on the GPHG’s official website.

The GPHG will present several prizes, but it’s the event’s top prize, the Aiguille d’Or, which brands will covet most. Last year, the Constant Escapement L.M. by Girard-Perregaux took home the prize.

The event will be taking place in the heart of Geneva, at the Grand Théâtre de Genève. Aurel Bacs, former head of Christie’s watch department, will once again preside over the jury, composed of collectors, journalists, and watchmakers.
