Once again, A. Lange & Söhne is sponsoring the prestigious “40 Years BMW Art Cars” exhibition at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, which takes place in Como from May 22 to the 24. The competition for classic automobiles and futuristic concept cars celebrates the marriage of art and automobiles. In honor of the event, A. Lange & Söhne is showcasing an exclusive timepiece.

A few weeks before the event, the watchmaker showcased an exclusive model of the LANGE 1 TIME ZONE, which was created specifically for the winner of the Concorso. The special timepiece was displayed together alongside Frank Stella’s 1976 BMW Art Car 02.

The LANGE 1 TIME ZONE “Como Edition” is crafted in white gold and has an hand-engraved caseback that displays the coat of arms of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. The city of Como, where the prestigious competition is taking place, stands in for the Central European time zone on the watch’s asymmetrical dial, giving the watch an even deeper connection to the competition.

At the 2015 rendition of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, five of the art cars will be on display within the 40 Years of BMW Art Cars Exhibit, including Frank Stella’s BMW 3.0 CSL.
