Watchmakers A. Lange & Söhne have launched the Saxonia Thin, the thinnest watch ever created by the company.

The Saxonia Thin is just 5.9 millimetres in height, with a 40 millimeter-diameter 18-carat casing of either pink or white gold. The watch’s inner workings are just as thin; the calibre L093.1 movement, developed specifically for this model, is a mere 2.9 millimetres, though it still packs a punch, providing a 72-hour power reserve.

This new timepiece’s beauty is its simplicity; its purity of design shines through its carefully finished details. The delicate hands balance perfectly with the single twin hour marker at the 12 o’clock accent, where the exclusive Glashütte I/SA logo is featured. Every issue of this model, finished and polished by hand, features a unique serial number engraved on the sapphire-crystal back casing. The straps are made of luxurious crocodile, with an engraved gold buckle.

For any timepiece aficionado, the Saxonia Thin from A. Lange & Söhne is ultra-thin but high-impact.
